Manchester Community College (MCC)
Manchester Community College (MCC) offers an American Bar Association (ABA)-approved) Paralegal Program designed to prepare students for careers as paralegals. The program provides two educational pathways:
- Associate in Science (A.S.) in Paralegal: This degree combines general education courses with specialized paralegal studies, totaling 61 to 62 credits. The curriculum emphasizes practical legal skills, including legal research, writing, civil litigation procedures, and ethics. Students are also required to complete an internship, providing hands-on experience in a legal setting.
2. Paralegal Certificate: This certificate is intended for students who already hold an associate or higher degree. It requires the completion of 25 credits focused on paralegal coursework. The program strongly encourages students to take no more than three classes per semester due to the demanding and rigorous content.
