Community College of Aurora (CCA)

 The Community College of Aurora (CCA) offers an American Bar Association (ABA)-approved) Paralegal Program designed to equip students with essential legal skills and knowledge. The program provides two educational pathways:

  1. Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Paralegal: This degree combines an understanding of legal principles, legal analysis, and ethical considerations with practical applications. Students are required to complete 10 credit hours of legal specialty courses through traditional classroom instruction and must take at least 15 credit hours of paralegal courses at CCA to receive the degree. 

     2.Paralegal Certificate: Intended for students who already hold an associate or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution, this certificate program requires the completion of specific paralegal coursework. Students must complete 10 semester credits of legal specialty courses through traditional classroom instruction and at least 15 credit hours of paralegal courses at CCA to receive the certificate.
